Something new on the wedding scene, The FIGHT BOX or ANNIVERSARY BOX!!

Orla and Pat’s Big Day

We had the pleasure of photographing the wedding day of Orla O Brien and Pat Clancy on the 29th of July 2016. To say it was a great day and night is an understatement. It was a Civil Ceremony in the Castlemartyr Resort Hotel where the surroundings and atmosphere was superb. Orla’s attention to detail contributed immensely to the great day. From the moment we walked into the wedding prep, to be shown the unusual glasses, the happiness bag and the sign for their son AJ, I knew we were in for a great day.

A Joyous Wedding Occasion

The joy and laughter with family and friends made our job very easy to capture great photographic moments. Alongside us on the day was Brian Mac Sweeney of Video Memories who had everyone at ease while filming Orla and Pat’s special day, especially when their son who at only 8 MONTHS walked up the aisle, helped of course by the flower girl.

Orla and Pat’s Fight Box (Anniversary Box)

There were many highlights in the day from the food and service of the hotel, and Kiernan Kramer Band who rocked the night, but the most unique moments of the day was the love and affection that Pat and Orla showed for each other. The Fight Box or Anniversary Box is a time capsule of their love, which is to be opened ono their 25 Anniversary!! In the box they placed a special bottle of wine, two love letters they wrote to each other privately on the morning of the wedding and then its hammered shut!! Now as Pat is an Auctioneer, it was fitting that he shouted out the word SOLD as the last nail went into the box!!

Coloured Sand Momento

They also exchanged coloured sand in beautiful glass wear which also included their fabulous son AJ. Orla, Pat and AJ had their own colour with AJs colour being in the middle of the glass. The Spiritualist, Ann Marie Coulton told us how he will always be in the middle of their heart.

We left the hotel to go to the beach in Garryvoe for a couple of family shots where their dog Roxy arrived along with Orla’s boxing gloves and Pat’s golf clubs!! We would like to take this opportunity to thank Orla and Pat for their amazing day.
